Hi
Jen,
We're really happy with Shadow's progress. She's just done
so well. I feel like she's so smart that once she figured out
that we didn't want her to do something, she stopped it. We even
took her on her first trip to a relative's home in LA (1-1/2
hour drive), and she did great in the car in her crate and had
so much fun playing at our relatives home with another dog that
was there...she behaved great around other people that were
visiting....I was really proud of her :-)
She
now spends more time inside with us. As soon as she comes in,
she goes straight to her spot and doesn't attempt to pick up any
items on her way like she used to. When we say
"ah-ah," she let's it go right away. We were just
saying this weekend that we can't believe she's the same dog in
that she's done a complete turn around from where she was before
you started training her. She now lets us pet her and sit with
her inside which she never let us do before because she was so
busy trying to nip at us. The kids can even go outside with her
without her trying to jump on them which is amazing given that
William rides his bike now on his own out there and she's great
with him.
I
know all of this is because of you so thank you so much for
teaching her and us as well. You explained everything so that we
understood how she saw things. You're a phenomenal trainer and
we're so lucky to have had you be Shadow's trainer.
Thank
you!

Hi
Jen,
Just a few lines to let you know that Lucy is doing very
well....slept through the night in her new crate....is going
potty on her "pooch potty," not really obsessed with
Buddha, "leaves it" when asked....does pretty much
what we ask of her. As you know, Lucy is a very intuitive, sweet
soul. Bless her heart!
Jen,
I don't think words can express how much we appreciate and
respect you...You are so much more than a dog trainer. You and
your gentle expressive ways are imprinted on our
hearts....Forever....Mike and I just are so grateful to have met
you at the "opportune time".....Lucy could not have
had a better timeframe than to have been with you during the
transition of moving....All of our lives have changed
dramatically for the better. Thanks to you.
I
hope to stay in touch. I have several referrals in mind. Our
neighbor has an out of control 3 year old Rat Terrier.....I know
when he sees Lucy he is going to want your name and
number.
I'm
sure that Lucy is going to be a fabulous "marketing
tool" if you are interested. She commands nonstop attention
everywhere we go....and now that she is "Wonder Dog,"
I feel confident we will be even more in the
"spotlight." YIKES!
Give
our love to your family. Thank you again for everything.

Hi
Jen,
Bentley has responded wonderfully to his loose leash
training. He sticks by my side in walking and jogging. I'm
slowly expanding the length and area of our walks. What a great
improvement. Never thought I would see this day. Thanks!

Hi
Jen,
We saw the best sight in the whole world this week--the
perfect U-turn executed by our Brandi girl!!
JR
and I were walking Brandi before work the other day. The
two of them went off to chase a squirrel while I stayed on the
street. When I looked over, I saw this off-leash dog approaching
Brandi (the owner just kept running!!) JR ordered the
strange dog to stop, gave Brandi the turn command, and like
magic, she listened! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi
Jen,
Scooter is fabulous. That dog has become a wonder dog, I
mean it. Everywhere I go with him, which is pretty much
everywhere I go, people ooh and ah about what a well-behaved dog
he is. Seriously. We still have a few little issues to
work through, but it's really just amazing, Jen--and we owe it
all to you!!!
I
really appreciated all your help, support, and flexibility.
I'd be delighted to serve as a reference for you should you ever
need/want one. You did superb work with both me and
Scooter. I'm very happy with the results. I'll give
him a hug from you, AFTER (of course), he does a nice long
down-stay!

Hi
Jennifer,
It's only been three days, and we've already started
to see a change in little Otis. I think he is beginning to
recognize his place in the family. I'm already breathing a
sigh of relief. Thanks for all the great tips and advice.
We are committed to turning him around!

Hi
Jen,
We had a great day yesterday! We were passed by five
runners and four walkers with dogs. Baxter was eight for
nine in behaving--no lunging or barking. The only time he
barked was at another dog who barked at him first, but he
quickly stopped. I thought that was pretty great.
(Cont'd)
What
I didn't write in my e-mail yesterday was that the eight for
nine was with Riley on the walk as well. When encountering
another runner/dog, etc., I called them back to me, had them
sit, and then stay. They got treats once in a while for
responding quickly. Good stuff! Thanks!

Hi
Jen,
It was good to hear from you. Honey is doing
well. The nipping has really diminished and she seems less
afraid of all the construction noise going on. Since the
girls are back in school, she gets nice long walks every morning
(not to mention, some peace and quiet!). Overall, a big
improvement. Thanks so much for your help. Please
feel free to stop by if you are ever in the area.

Thanks
again for everything. Charlie (and we) have vastly improved
since you've been helping us! Walking him is fun now! And he's
not jumping on Lily, and he's going on the gravel! Yeah!

Hey
Jen,
GUESS WHAT!!?? Molly went into the family room when I was
on the phone, rang the bells, and I took her out...she had to
go!! I'm so excited! I just can't believe it!
Thank you for all that you are doing. I have already
realized how intelligent Molly is.
I
am really glad we found you!! You have made such an incredible
difference already! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

...Jen's
bywords are PATIENCE and CONSISTENCY. She models them very
well. When dealing with you, she offers hints and cues,
never criticism. With the pet, she does not tolerate
misbehavior, but rewards INSTANTLY the expected behavior.
I
got my puppy at two months of age. At three months, I was
ready to give up completely. I had no idea how to cope with him
and had never anticipated that handling a puppy could be so
difficult. That is when I contacted Jen.
By
four months, the puppy and I were both much happier. He
was learning to behave and I was learning how to demand that of
him. I was constantly reinforced during the training by
Jen and began to feel that I could do it.
Jen
is genuinely fond of the animal she is working with. To
me, it is very important that my puppy was also very fond of
her. When she arrived at the door last week, he was so
thrilled to see her that he had a hard time maintaining his
Sit-Stay position. He was in place wiggling and squiggling and
wagging his stub of a tail as fast as he could. When Jen
left, he stood at the window gazing out in the direction she
took when leaving.
When
Jen makes her initial visit and assesses with your input what
needs to be accomplished, she works with you to establish a
training program that meets your needs and that of your pet.
She is very understanding of any limitations on your
abilities--such as age and aching joints.
I
am very certain that if you use the techniques that Jen proposes
and follow her directions about patience and consistency, you
will be as pleased and happy as I am.
Sincerely,
Mary

Hi
Jen--I am just writing to tell you how much we enjoyed working
with you. Thanks for your patience. Kasey has changed
so much--from a puppy that was destructive and completely out of
control---to a puppy that is well-mannered and wonderfully
obedient. We never could've done it without your help.
I
feel lucky to have found you, and I will happily recommend you
and your services to anybody looking for an experienced and
knowledgeable trainer.
Our
whole family thanks you,

Hi
Jennifer,
Now don't panic. Our plans have changed and we will
be leaving Fallbrook on the 21st of July (yeah, next week).
I want you to know that I do not expect you to try and fit in
the two trainings that I will miss. I just needed someone
to guide me in the right direction and to remind me that she is
the D-O-G and I am the HUMAN! I already feel like we
have made tremendous progress. She is really
listening and responding to me now. Thanks so much!
I'll talk to you soon.

Hi
Jennifer,
I just
wanted to let you know what happened when Alice came home from
the kennel May 8 to meet the new tile!
Well,
not a single accident inside since!
I
have continued to feed her in the the area we discussed. I make sure the door
is open or if not take her outside every four hours or so. She
falls asleep every night about 8:30, and no accidents during the
night. It sure smells a lot better in my house now!
Thanks
so much!

Jen--
I
wanted to give you a quick progress report on Coco. I am
happy to tell you that he is sooo much better behaved when
greeting guests at our front door. He has gotten to the
point where he actually offers a down-stay at the door the
second he hears the doorbell ring. I am very happy that I
don't have to fight with him to get or keep him off visitors.
He's obviously still very enthusiastic--but he definitely knows
some manners now.
He
has also been just great walking on a loose leash. Thanks
for all your hard work and patience. It has paid off in
spades.
Sincerely,
Roberta

Hi
Jen,
Thanks for everything. We have been working on
what you taught us, and it is AMAZING how the
"time-outs" effect him! It is sort of funny, he
hangs his head and rolls his eyes...he does get it!
Thank
YOU for all your excellent training! I know without you we
would be way behind! You are awesome! We enjoyed
working with you, which is so important! Take care, let's
keep in touch! ...If it is okay, I would like to give your
name to others who might need a trainer. I KNOW we
will meet up again...

Hi
Jen,
How are you? Hoping all is great. I can't believe the
difference in George. My gosh! As you know, we almost gave him
up. Never thought we could turn him around. There's no doubt he
has responded beautifully to your training techniques. We don't
have to fight him at the door and he actually listens to us now!
You are absolutely wonderful and we sincerely thank you!

Hi
Jen,
You'll
be glad to know that Junior is doing so much better! He's been a
really good, sweet little boy. I actually enjoy him now.
I
think your recommendation to get him tested for low thyroid was
excellent. Both the medication and the training has kicked in
and helped tremendously.
He
is so well behaved--like a different dog! I can sit here and pet
him and not be afraid. His growling has stopped altogether. I
just wanted you to be aware of that and what a good job you did,
and how my life has really improved. He's just become a really
wonderful dog and a joy to be around.

Jen,
Margaret and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your
wonderful work with us and Sapphire. I am so glad we gave
Sapphire one more chance when we moved into our new home! A well
behaved dog is really a pleasure to have around. She is not
completely there yet, but with the tools and techniques you gave
us, she will be shortly. Actually, the only reason she is not
100% where we want her to be is because we have not taken the
time to work with her--because when we do, the improvement is
immediate.
The
week after our final session, a FedEx courier came to the door
when I was working, home alone. Sapphire responded to my
commands to go to the top of the stairs, sit, then lay down.
Then she STAYED DOWN while I opened the door and signed for the
delivery! That one episode was worth every penny of your fee!
The fact that she would leave the door and lay down despite her
excitement says volumes about your program.
We
are glad to recommend you and your program to anyone who is
considering training their dog. It WORKS, and your style put us
and Sapphire at ease. BTW, she is now playing on the first step
of the pool.
Please
feel free to use us a reference at any time. If any of our
friends or relatives get a new dog, they will have your name in
a heartbeat.
Thank
you again!

Hi
There!
Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for the info
about hypothyroidism. At the risk of jinxing ourselves, I'd say
that getting our hierarchy in order has worked wonders for Jess,
and I don't have any aggression issues with him lately---even
with other dogs and the men who happen to be walking them!! I
walked him right past three construction workers the other day
and he was completely relaxed and happy.
Hope
all is well and that your new facility is coming along!

Hi
Jennifer,
Thanks for your help with Chip! It was a pleasure to
meet and work with you. We will miss you (Sammy will too!)
A
different plumber showed up today and he agreed to work with me
to meet Chip. Chip managed to stay down for a moment (I kept the
front door closed while I opened the gate and brought him in); I
put him back on down, gave the guy treats, as let Chip go. For
once, Chop behaved himself and did not growl. A first!!! Thank
you, thank you, thank you!
I'll
stay in touch. We'll need some refresher classes.

Hi
Jen,
We
had our first two mile morning walk yesterday, with our
neighbors, and Molly did great! They were so impressed, as was
I. Audrey, the lady you met, is referring you to another
neighbor (someone I don't know) who lives just around the
corner, so you may be getting a call.
See
you in a couple of weeks!
