"Scooter is fabulous. That dog has become a wonder dog, I mean it.  Everywhere I go with him, ( which is pretty much everywhere I go), people ooh and ah about what a well-behaved dog he is."

Are you looking for a way to teach your canine friend manners, real life obedience, and socialize your dog all at the same time? Then consider our small group classes! Small group classes allow for more one-on-one instruction, but also provide a sufficient level of real-life distraction to create a prime learning environment.

Our aim is to provide you with practical information and experiences that will help you in your day-to-day interactions with your favorite canine friend. Classes are informative, interesting, and fun!!! We cover a lot of ground, answer your questions, and swap a few stories. You also get plenty of handouts, weekly written homework assignments, and great freebies to take home to your dog!

Plan a Puppy Party in your home for your neighbors with new puppies, and we will waive your fee! Class size is 4-8 pups. This is a wonderful, safe, low cost way to socialize your puppies and get a head start on foundational obedience. Please see "Puppy Happy Hour" for specifics. Puppy parties can be arranged evenings or weekends to best accommodate your needs.

For a calendar of upcoming seminars or to register for a class, please go to our calendar page.

 Puppy Parenthood:

This class is for humans only and is two hours in length. Topics include: developmental stages, vaccinations and homeopathic nosodes, spaying and neutering, puppy proofing your home, outside safety concerns, choosing safe chew toys and appropriate equipment, choosing an appropriate and healthy food, exercise, crating, and the importance of early training and socialization. Handouts and sample products provided. $40.

Puppy Happy Hour:

This class is designed for puppies 9 to 16 weeks old. This weekly series of four 1- hour sessions is a fun, safe, supervised way for puppies to learn socialization and learn play skills. We will focus on bad habit prevention and introduce puppies to some of our foundation exercises, including attention training, following, settle, and leave it. Safety concerns and rules for appropriate interaction will also be addressed. All puppies must have proof of their first series of vaccinations. $95.

Basic Obedience and Manners:

This class teaches beginning basic obedience, manners, and relationship building for well-socialized adolescent and adult dogs who have not had previous training or who could use a refresher. Learn how to apply basic obedience in day-to-day life, and create a working relationship with your dog by using reward-based, non-aversive training principles. In addition to real-life obedience and manners, this class is unique because it addresses many of the common behavioral issues that dog owners encounter, such as unruliness in the home, jumping on people and furniture, puppy nipping, digging, and alert barking. Class size will be limited to 6-8 dogs to ensure a productive learning environment with plenty of individualized attention. Class structure will be one hour and 15 minutes in length for 7 weeks. The first week is a mandatory people only session. Handouts and homework will be provided for all topics covered. All dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations and be at least 14 weeks or older to participate. $195.
