"Scooter is fabulous. That dog has become a wonder dog, I mean it.  Everywhere I go with him, ( which is pretty much everywhere I go), people ooh and ah about what a well-behaved dog he is."

Poway

Is your new puppy a cute, cuddly, exuberant ball of energy that doesn't quite get the "living with humans" concept--you know, house etiquette  (where not to go), manners (not jumping on guests), and obedience (sit, stay, come)?

Does your pooch understand basic obedience but exhibit a host of unruly or distressing behaviors (like eating your couch while you're away)?

Does your canine friend demonstrate good house manners but need a refresher course on the basics: loose leash walking, come, sit, sit-stay, down,  down-stay, heel, leave it, drop it, etc.?

Good News!  You've come to the right place...

A in-home evaluation is an important first step in the process of designing an appropriate and effective training plan.  The benefits are many:

I get to meet you and your family (including your dog) at your home, which gives me an opportunity to observe your dog interacting with you in his normal environment.

You get all of my attention. This is a chance to tell me what's on your mind and explain your needs and goals. I also have an opportunity to explain my training philosophy and approach.

I take a thorough history and design a training program that includes your input, meets your needs, and considers your dog's temperament, health, age, breed, sex, and history.

You get foundational training instruction to get things off to a good start. I can also address your questions and concerns with regards to appropriate equipment/training aids, lifestyle, exercise, and nutritional requirements as a prerequisite to lessons.

Behavioral issues (separation anxiety, aggression, fear issues, house soiling, chewing, barking, etc.), require an in-home evaluation. Evaluations run $40-45 and will generally require about one hour. For some situations, it will be important to have as many family members present as possible.

Please complete the form below and indicate at least two different dates and times when you and your dog will be available. Call or email for availability. Appointment times are as follows:

Tuesday, 9:30-3:00

Wednesday, 9:30-3:00

Thursday, 9:30-3:00

Saturday, 9:30-3:00

Sunday, 10:00-12:00

Call 760-739-0580 or complete the form below to set up an evaluation in your home. For information on training, see private lessons.
